This past week(s) I read Selected Essays by Ralph Waldo Emerson. Took me a bit longer to digest than most of the literature I’ve read this year so far. He’s an absolutely amazing writer with a good sense of how nature influences us as humans (creatively, emotionally, spiritually), and how nature is interconnected to all assets of our understanding of the universe god has created for us. Highly recommend, especially the specific essays on “Nature”, “Circles”, and “Poets”.
Next up is a mystery (I have yet to decide between a few different ones on the book shelf). It’ll be a surprise for you and me.
As always, thank you for reading.
kindly,
mike
