how uncouth of you to show up empty handed 

lemon , blue cheese olives
icy stems , brush graphite
Straight and hard lines

temperatures rose above 104 on studio west coast
the violence , the dreary , the repelling
the cause - an absence of power

then at night the sludge dripped from the jowls
from a shot to the nose
so i listened to sponsored steps to help relieve the joint pain 

consider the work of his fingers , 
the moon , the stars
all ordained - 
try the bait and switch , 
go back and compose some more , 
find the key you were missing
